Bottled Emotion Nail Art - Flying Kites!

Does anyone remember those Bonne Bell Bottled Emotion fragrances they used to sell back in the 90s? The same company that make Lip Smackers. Well, I loved them. Well one in particular; it was called Crazy and it was in a purple bottle (no wonder I liked it, haha). A couple of years back I had a sudden need to buy all that I could find of them on eBay. One of them was the scent 'playful' and it had a picture of a kite on it... and hence this:

Ah silly I know. But this was the inspiration:

So this design started out a lot nicer than it finished:

I painted my nails with Essie Lapis of Luxury, which is a gorgeous colour but can be a little sheer if you don't do 2-3 coats. Then I used an Orly dotter with China Glaze Snow to create clouds in this sky blue base:

Pretty. I kind of wished I changed it to something else at this point, like flowers or rainbows but I wanted kites :-P

The messy outline before I filled and tried to clean up a little.

Only a few colours used this time! Sephora by OPI Break a leg-warmer, China Glaze Snow, MAC Ice Cream Cake, OPI Fiercely Fiona and Essie Lapis of Luxury.

My stash! The empty purple one on the bottom is my original bottle of Crazy and the rest are my purchases from eBay. I remember there was a yellow one called Mellow but I never liked it at the time. It would be awesome to see someone with the full collection. I'm such a hoarder :-S

Insert arty iPhone app shot :-D Well I hope you enjoyed the post and let me know if you remember Bonne Bell Bottled Emotions! Surely I can't be the only crazy one ;-) Hope you're having a great week and aren't freezing like we are here in Canberra! Until next time...
