A Art (Or More) Floral Designs

Hello, all! Lindsey here from Wondrously Polished! If you've ever stopped by my blog, you may have noticed that I enjoy doing a floral mani on occasion. Some would say it's obsessive, and to those folks I would say "shhh!" Because of my love of floral, I jumped at the chance to share some of my favorite flower manis from my fellow (insanely) talented Easy-Nail Art members.

One of the best things about floral nail art is the versatility of it! There are endless possibilities when it comes to techniques, styles and color palettes and I doubt we'll ever tire of the floral manicure. So, without further ado, lets take a look at some drool worthy looks using various techniques!

Although dotting tools are a necessity in any nail artist's toolbox, they are especially helpful in creating simple yet adorable floral looks. Debbie and Kerrie make it look easy with these manis and make me excited for spring.

While I can't seem to find the right end of a stamper, some of my favorite ladies have mastered the art of the (floral) stamp. Whether it's traditional stamping like Katee or Kirsten's look, or the Lead Light method - think stained glass where you fill in a black border with color - like Tammy's, I am in awe of the floral looks possible with these tools.

If you're feeling ambitious (and patient!), water marbling is one of the more unique methods of creating flawless flowers. With spring finally here in the Northern Hemisphere, I couldn't resist sharing Ashley's psychedelic floral marble to get us in the mood for warmer weather.

If all else fails, simple free hand is a tried and true method for creating your favorite floral look. A detail brush and a few of your favorite polishes allow for unlimited flower gardens on your finger tips.

With a little extra practice, you can even create flowers with one-stroke of your brush! Teach us your ways, Sue!!

Floral looks also allow for thinking outside the box (and the lines!). An abstract or sketched floral look can be beautiful and striking as shown by Meghan and Emily with these two looks.

And for those of you who aren't satisfied with just ONE style on your mani? Never fear, Emma and I have you covered! Tribal and Rosebuds? Check. Plaid and roses? Double, check!

And last, but certainly not least, the holy grail of the floral mani is to use actual flowers! This might seem odd at first, but nothing beats the look of real flowers if you're wanting to create a beautiful and elegant manicure.

If you weren't a lover of the floral manicure at the start of this post, I hope we've converted you by now! Do you have a favorite type of floral manicure? We'd love to hear from you!

A Art Great Stamping Polishes

Hi everyone!!  I have the honor of writing a post about stamping polishes.  If we all got together and started a list of stamping polishes today, we could easily fill several notebooks.  Almost all polishes have the ability to stamp but some better than others based on their formula and dry time.  Finding the right combination of colors can take some trial and error.  Originally I started out making a list of traditional polishes that are great stampers but then I realized my list was not very interesting because it was comprised of black, white and foil polishes.  I think most of you who stamp know that these polishes as a whole are generally the best because they have the ability to stand out in a design and go with most undies.  So, I set out to find you some great stamping polishes that are not so traditional.  I didn't have to go far because we have some creative ladies here in The Easy-Nail Art that are always testing the limits and trying new things.  Let's have a look.....

First up is Katee from A Girl And Her Polish showing us Butter London Cotton Buds and Goss stamping in both directions.  Neutral on white and vice versa.

Here we have Debbie from The Crumpet showing us Mentality Tempest stamped with Too Fancy Lacquer Holly.

Next up is Shelly from Sassy Shelly.  She stamped using a combination of Zoya Jacqueline, Avery, Flynn and Louise.

Another mani by Katee from A Girl And Her Polish.  She uses NOPI This Blue Is So You in a simple design but it clearly showcases the beauty of this polish as a stamper.

Have a look at what Jacki from Adventures in Acetone did using Zoya Carly.  Isn't this beautifully delicate??

Ashley from Smashley Sparkles used Picture Polish Tango for the base and stamped with CND Copper.

Emily from The Lacquerologist shows us another simple but beautiful design by stamping with Milani Sangria Rush.

Here Katee from A Girl And Her Polish uses Essie After School Boy Blazer to stamp.  Wow!!  This is beautiful.

Missy from Gnarly Gnails shows us another great blue for stamping.  The subtlety of this really makes it unique and classy.  The stamping was done using Sinful Colors Cold Leather.

Tammy from Canadian Nail Fanatic shows us the power of the HOLO!!  This is Sinful Colors Cinderella topped with Layla Ocean Rush.

Here is another by Shelly of Sassy Shelly.  The stamping here was done with Sinful Colors Moss Have.

And, last but not least, here is one from me, Creative Nail Design By Sue.  It is Zoya Reagan.  I have found that Zoyas make excellent stamping polishes.

So, what do you think? Do you have a favorite stamping polish?

Stamping Image Plates for Valentine's Day

Hello!  This is mrsrexy from Canadian Nail Fanatic doing my first ever Easy-Nail Art post!

I'm going to show you a variety of stamping plate options suitable for Valentine's Day.  The fantastic thing about nail art stamping today is that there are wide variety of image plates available, so it doesn't matter what your style is....super cute, funky, traditional or not so traditional....there's an image plate for you!  I'm going to share a few mani's that I've done over the years using a variety of different images....there's obviously a few plates that I tend to reach for again and again as they show up a few times, but one things for sure, regardless of your style, there's a nail stamping plate that will suit your style for Valentine's Day!

Here's several mani's that are more on the traditional side in imagery use and colour scheme.

Vivid Lacquer VL009 with accent of VL001

MM03 (Be Mine wording on thumb), SdP 60 (couple on ring), SdP 78 (balloons on thumb), SdP 85 (pinky) and Big SdP L (index and middle fingers)

MJII with accent of DRK-A.

Apipila 01

Lilic A02 (middle), CH29 (ring), QA18 (pinky and heart on ring), Big SdP I (index).

A24, HB03, fauxnad F and fauxnad m04.

If you want a Valentine's Day mani but looking for something less traditional, perhaps a little funky or edgy, this can be achieved by changing up the base colour  or using less traditional images or accents.

Messy Mansion MM03; small accent hearts are HD-A

Bundle Monster BM02

BM-317 (index), DRK-A (thumb and middle), Chez Divers 001 (ring) MJ (no number; one of the original MJ plates; pinky)

MoYou Pro Collection-07 XL

Big SdP A

Dashia Big SdP K

Cheeky Jumbo 6, Happy Holidays

DRK A (pinky and index), MM03 (thumb), BM 311 (middle) and Apipilia P.04 (ring)

Bundle Monster BM 317

SdP A20 (thumb and pinky), Big SdP L (middle) and SdP C20 (ring and pinky).

Fauxnad E06 for the lettering; CH29 for thumb

Bunny Nails HD-B

SdP 16 and SdP 56

For those who think Valentine's Day is just another day but still want red nails to be holiday appropriate, there's these looks.

Konad m73

A44

Finally, for those who are suffering some heart ache on Valentine's Day, there's stamping image plates for this too.

VL003 (cross out circle on index), HD-A (separated heart on index), T23 (heart on thumb) E01 (black roses on index), Mash-31 (pinky), SdP D07 (middle, SdP 85 (you and me on index) and HD-A (work on thumb and heart on ring)

Gone are the days that those who stamp their nails only had a few Konad images that were somewhat Valentine's related to try to turn them into something Valentine's Day appropriate. While I've shown quite a few different image plates here, there are oh, so many more available and these just touch the surface....there are lots of choices for doing Valentine's Day nails and regardless of your style, there's an image plate for you!

Thanks for looking!
